Implement
1. Use the solution and develop
it as needed.
2. Important: continue listening
to God & your spirit during implementation, because
your first impression of a solution is seldom
the best.
3. Be willing to continue researching,
pondering and evaluating while implementing the
solution.
4. My experience: implementation
evolves and the final result may only vaguely resemble
your original idea.
5. Verify that it accomplished
the original intent.
a. If it didn't, reconsider other solutions.
b. Or decide whether original intent was valid.
i. You may have had unreasonable expectations.
ii. May not be necessary or possible to do what you wanted.
So, if you do what God tells you, why doesn't it always work?
1. Recognize that you are only
responsible for doing what God tells you.
a. Not responsible for results, unless your carelessness caused
undesirable results,
of course.
b. God honors human will.
i. He presents you with situation, allows you to respond to
it.
ii. If you choose wisely, you experience the benefits of doing God's
will.
iii. If you choose foolishly, you experience the negative consequences
or
maybe the loss of God's promise.
iv. Similarly, if your situation involved other people, need to be
aware of
their desires and will.
v. In that sense, God will not hold you responsible for poor
results caused
by someone else, as long as you did what God expected you to do.
vi. You may experience negative consequences of other person's actions,
even though you did what God said; rely on God's grace.
2. Another important concept to
understand when working with God: Death of a Vision.
a. God consistently takes us through a three-step process:
i. birth of a vision
ii. death of the vision
iii. supernatural fulfillment of the vision.
b. God gives birth to the vision by giving it initially to
you.
c. You generally try to fulfill that vision under your own
strength
i. It's natural:
(1) Natural for our sinful nature to assume control
(2) Natural for our sinful nature to want some glory
(3) But all glory must go to God.
ii. Even if you're acting in faith
(1) faith without action is dead (Jas 2:17), so you must act.
(2) so you do what God said, are obedient, have faith in God for
results.
(3) nothing happens — for a long time — a very long time.
(4) seems as if God's promise will never be fulfilled.
(5) don't give up on it; stay open to God, keep praying about it,
be
ready to act, but don't try to force it to happen.
(6) Zech 4:6 "'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,'
says
the Lord Almighty."
(a) not by your efforts
(b) God's work is accomplished in spirit realm.
(7) you cannot accomplish God's work on your own; that would be a
"work of the flesh," which has as much value as a pile of filthy
rags; stinks.
(8) if you have done everything God expects, don't push it.
d. God may ask you to give up the vision over and over
i. so you know that it is his and not yours
ii. so you know that he responsible for the results, not you; he
will receive
the glory and not you.
iii. Bible is very clear: all glory goes to God, not to man.
(1) 1 Cor 1:31 (Jer 9:24) "Let him who boasts boast in the
Lord."
(2) 1 Cor 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you
do,
do it all for the glory of God."
iv. We eventually may share in God's glory, but it is his.
(1) Rom 8:17 "Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs
of
God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings
in order that we may also share in his glory."
(2) 2 Th 2:14 "... that you might share in the glory of our
Lord
Jesus Christ."
e. John 12:24 "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel
of wheat falls to the ground
and dies, it
remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
i. A seed "dies" when it separates from its source of life.
ii. Your idea "dies" when there seems to be no possibility of success.
iii. God's word to you will be supernaturally resurrected after it has
died to
your flesh.
f. Jesus told his disciples that he would set up his kingdom.
i. That vision died in their minds when they saw Jesus crucified
ii. Vision was supernaturally reborn at Pentecost
(1) God fulfilled his promise in a way far exceeding their
expectations.
g. Another reason for death of the vision: preconceived
ideas or misinterpretation.
i. When God gives you a vision, you very naturally and automatically
interpret it on the basis of what you believe:
(1) God's intent
(2) your abilities
(3) your understanding of situation.
ii. God does not say, "Here's the result I want, now figure out how
you can
do it."
iii. Remember: God's thoughts are not the same as yours, neither
are his
goals or methods, so it's important to do things God's way.
iv. God frequently has to let your ideas & efforts die before
he can work
things out his way.
h. Death is a painful, undesirable experience.
i. Many Christians will not embrace the cross because:
(1) they do not recognize God's purposes, or
(2) don't understand concept of death & resurrection.
ii. They never pass into supernatural Christianity.
(1) They stay on the safer, less painful and less fulfilling side
of the
cross.
i. Jesus endured the cross because he knew God's death/resurrection
process
i. Heb 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author
and perfecter of our
faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its
shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
ii. Concentrate on God's ability to supernaturally resurrect out
of the death
experience, even if you don't know what he will do (almost certainly
don't).
iii. If you focus on the hardship, you are liable to fail.
j. Jesus won his ordeal in Gethsemane, rather than Calvary.
i. His agonizing prayer for God's will allowed God to give
him the
strength and grace to endure the suffering.
ii. As we cry out to God over and over, he will give us strength
and will
renew the vision in us.
3. This is where the battle is either won or lost.
4. This is where you either enter
or fail to enter supernatural Christianity.
a. Gethsemane experience prepares you for Calvary.
b. Calvary experience prepares you for Glory.
Conclusions
1. Creative Process:
a. Identify situation & decide to do something about it.
b. Investigate to learn about the situation.
c. Ponder what you know about the situation, about God, about
other resources.
Expect spontaneous
ideas from God & your spirit.
d. Evaluate your ideas, consider others' opinions, select "best"
idea for situation.
e. Implement your idea, continue listening to your spirit,
be ready to modify idea.
2. Be prepared for "failure,"
when your idea seems to fail.
a. God frequently causes the idea he gave you to die in your
hands.
b. "Death of the vision" allows God to implement his idea his
way.
