How Our Spiritual Authority Affects Our Domains
What we think, say or do gives either God or Satan greater authority to affect our domains, which include ourselves, our families, work and property.
How does this work? If my thoughts, words and actions conform to what God says, I allow him to do his work in me, which primarily involves making me more like Jesus, but also blessing me in every way. My thoughts, words and actions don’t directly produce the changes – which would be magic – rather, they authorize God to do what he chooses in me and my domain.
However, if I conform to the world’s ways, I limit what God can do – because he honors my free will – and I authorize Satan to affect me, which then increases my spiritual problems and causes or worsens problems throughout my domain.
This is true for all Christians, regardless of our spiritual maturity. So due to our spiritual authority, what we think, say or do either allows or prohibits spiritual activity in our domains, which then affects everyone and everything in them.
